ROTFL!!!! I can't think of any better place to
go for misinformation about the Catholic Church.

You wan't me to leave, I'm not like Barry, I won't hang around and argue.

No, I am not wanting anyone to leave - give me a break - I must be misinformed
about the
Anglican church - if anyone can point me to sources that can prove to me that
the Anglican
church is in union with Rome and that their priests validly consecrate the host
(Deacon Ed?).
Isn't that why we're here - to understand. I'm willing to be corrected if you
point to valid
sources. I'm not accusing you of being like Barry either. I didn't mean to
touch on such a raw
wound that you must be carrying around. I apologize - that was not my
intention.

I'll take a hike in a New York Minute and be permanently turned off the RCC.
The
local RCC we attended was irreverent, did not show respect for the body and
blood of christ as we were use to. That was the turn off when we attended.

What you've witnessed is Modernism influx into the RCC which makes me sick to my
stomach
as well. There are priests out there that have questionable belief in the Real
Presence which
makes me question whether or not there is a valid consecration at the Masses
that these
priests say.

Out of respect for my brothers and sisters in Christ here, I didn't really
want to mention this but you left me no choice. I was very disappointed as
I had hoped my husband would consider attending classes to learn more about the
church. He
flatly refused after that service. The protestant Church of Christ that he
attended was more reverent than the RC's here. That's what got us both!! That
no one
spoke to US was not problem. The problem WAS that they spoke to one another
across the church, visited and laughed loudly so that you could not even get in
a
spirit or worship yourself.

I wholeheartedly agree. It is sickening to see the irreverence when the blessed
sacrament in
the tablernacle is present in the sanctuary and people act like they are in a
cafeteria. Again,
vestiges of Modernism, and the misapplication of the tenets of Vatican II. If
you attended a
Latin Mass, I think that you would find a different atmosphere (which is why the
Latin Mass is
making a comeback!). I have also heard that the Byzatine Rite is a very
beautiful and reverent
service.

BTW, before you start pointing fingers this church is definately NOT
charismatic.

I am not pointing fingers at any church. As I responded to Ms. O'Shaughnessey,
I kind of went
off into a tangent speaking more to churches in general and may have given the
wrong
impression that I was speaking specifically about the Anglican church. Mea
culpa.

I certainly hope that I haven't offended anyone. I'm just telling it like I
saw it.

No offense. And I didn't intend any myself.

Thanks for not flaming on me for my devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and
the Immaculate
Heart of Mary. I love my Blessed Mother dearly because she shows me the example
of
obedience and humility that I must have in order to more perfectly love her Son
Jesus. She
has lead me so much more closer to her Son. I would not have the heart that I
have now
without her graces that has increased and enhanced my love for her most beloved
Son. The
more devoted I am to her and her guidance, the closer I become to her Son by
orders of
magnitude. I can only make a weak analogy of loving ones parents. Because you
love your
mother does not preclude you from loving your father - it is not mutually
exclusive. A mother
can edifiy the father to her children so that they can gain much more of a
respect for him and
the sacrifices he makes to keep the family together, fed and clothed and housed
- in general
provided for. Thanks again for not attacking my devotion to my Blessed Mother.
