CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS: SR needs volunteers urgently: we have
been able to cover fairly adequately such subjects as European and North
American history, English and French literature, bibliography, and
philosophy -- but we really need specialists in Arabic, Chinese, Czech,
Dutch, German, Latin American, Japanese, Spanish, Polish, Portuguese,
Russian, and Spanish literature, history, and culture. We could also use
help in covering economics, history of art, history of law, history of
religion, history of science, political thought, &c. &c
You will know where the gaps are simply by looking for what isn't
here. All prospective contributors need to do is to spend some time in the
library, type up the relevant entries from the tables of contents of journals
with which you are familiar, and send them to the editor. Dividing
entries by heading is useful, since we do not know everything and are thus
occasionally unable to classify entries. Also useful is some information
[in brackets] about whatever the article covers but the title does not
indicate. A list of journals we cover (or would like to cover) may be
obtained from the editor; we welcome suggestions for additions to this
list, and we encourage C18-L readers to volunteer to cover a some of these
journals.
