Lexis-Nexis offers a Prospectus database from April 1993 forward. The
database became available earlier this year. Prior to that time, Disclosure
Inc provides copies for a fee. I know that Disclosure has offices
in D.C. and San Francisco.

I have a faculty member looking for "prospectus data" for all initial and
season equity offerings during a particular period ( June 1992-Dec 1994).

As a relitively new business libn... HELP. Do you have any suggestions
as to where I can refer the Faculty member: both fee based as well as
no-fee internet sites.

Thanks;

You may respond directly to me.

Several years ago the choices for prospectus information were great. Now
the choices are few and naturally that means higher costs. I really depends
on what type of "data" you are looking for in IPO's and secondary offerings.

Securities Data Co has an online database of extracted data (201.622.3100).
There are also many servie bureaus, of which I am one, that operate out of
the SEC. These firms can copy the prospectuses for you. Investment Dealers
Digest gives a nice weekly rundown of what has been registered. Disclosure
has Prospectus/Registration Statement CD-ROM called Compact D/33 (though I
heard that it might be on its way out). As mentioned in another post,
Lexis-Nexis has the States News Service abstracts of prospectus filings.

Again, if you tell me what "data" you are lookig for I'll steer you in the
right direction.
