Now that we finally have Squiggle's name sorted out, I read today that
he changed his name back to Prince. _Obviously_ he needs to find a
real job that will allow him LESS time to be creative with his
moniker. We have enough work to do _without_ his help!!

Belated thanks to all who replied on the above topic. In the end we agreed with
those who said that AACR2 are made to be bent/broken and we used Prince as the
main entry at 100.00 with a note about the squiggle thing. Do these
self-obsessed "artistic" people have any idea what trouble their whimsies can
cost everyone else? Dick Barrett

Judy Schneider mentioned that Prince, aka Squiggle, aka Prince (or
is it Prince, aka Squiggle, ne'e Prince, or is it....) is too
creative with his "moniker".

My question: is it a "moniker" or an "appelation"?

Just asking....

That distinction sent me scurrying to my dictionary! Both words have to do
with naming, but moniker has a second definition:

2. A tramp's initials or other mark of identification.

...oh my...

I don't think I want to touch that one!!!!! ;-)
