In technical services at SUNY Cortland we have been transfering to html format
the collection of procedures, cheat sheets, format cataloging policies, and
some links to remote resources for the use of both librarians and staff. Staff
members have access via LYNX (text only) at this time, but the documents are
all text only anyway so that is not a major handicap. We hope to add the
policies and procedues of the order department later this fall. Our web site
was designed to serve our own internal needs by providing a central place for
the current/definitive version of local practice. As such there are a few
documented deviations from "national practice" which show up. One notable
practice for us is to catalog computer file serials as type M : Computer File
with a Bib level S.
