[STOCKPHOTO] Pricing

I just got a request from someone in the UK wanting to purchase photos which he plans to print onto canvas and sell. I asked him how many prints he'd be making of each image and what size they would be printed. Are there other factors that I am leaving out? Any thoughts on price for something like this?

Yes, you supply the images without charge, and receive a percentage of
each sale. You send the buyer a certificate of provenance (a printed
sheet with your signature on confirming that the picture is a giclee
reproduction from your original file authorised by you). Each sale, you
send a certificate, and you charge the printer.

If you were in the UK, you would sign every print - have each one sent
to you, sign it, return it.

If it doesn't work this way, then it's a cheap service. Don't sell
rights to print images unless you have a fixed number of prints allowed,
then it would be OK to charge once and be done with it.

Sign up with Ole Hendricksen at www.pho2art.com if you want to sell
canvas/giclee fine art prints in Europe as a photographer and promote
yourself decently in the process. He's only in early stages, and his
website has no automatic means to sign up - you have to email him, and
arrange everything the slow way. But at least you can trust the sales.
