Mouse not clicks not working

Has any one ran into a problem with the mouse clicks not working on
Ubuntu 10.04. I can navigate around just fine with the key board. The
mouse curser moves but when you click on some thing it will not do any
thing. Try a wacom pad that i have and the same effect happens and this
only seems to happen when a program has a dialog box up or when i launch
a web browser.
