super cheap ssl provider, free class1 ssl certificates. https://www.startssl.com/?app=40

Just thought I'd throw this out there for those who are interested in purchasing SSL certificates. It seems like you basicly pay $0 (for class 1 certs) $50 (every 2 years for class2/3 certs) and $100 ( every 2 years + $50 per domain for EVL/class3 certs)

By far the least expensive SSL provider I've ever seen, they are really just charging for the cost to verify you are who you say you are, after that they will provide you with basicly unlimited SSL certificates for any domains you are registered to, for free.

I would examine how widely distributed their root certificates are.
The more well known companies already have their keys trusted by
browsers and operating systems for many years. The StartSSL say they
are recognized by every browser, but that doesn't necessarily indicate
the distribution of the root certificates. Anyway, this may or may
not be an issue, but it is something to look at when purchasing a
certificate. When we have written Java plugins, having the vendor's
root certificate already installed in the browser reduced the number
of prompts users had to respond to when the plugin installed.
