I don't know if any of the rest of you have had the same experience, but
on my 4 Linux machines, 3 are now on clean installs after one or more
issues with doing the upgrades.

On the AMD64 machine with the upgrade I had issues with the sound card
and with grub. After doing an install the sound issues were resolved but
I still cannot boot into WinXP from Grub at start-up. With the laptop
it was more just reduced performance and minor issues, which were
resolved after doing a new install. And of course with my netbook it
just plain crashed after the upgrade so there was no choice. I have
returned my netbook to Ubuntu only instead of dual-booting with EB4. As
much as I liked some of their features for the Eeepc, after 4 months
they were still in beta testing and had too many unresolved issues.
(Sometimes you just want most everything to work!)

So at this point only the desktop that my 93 yr old mother-in-law uses
is running on a 10.04 upgrade. That may be because she doesn't have
enough experience to complain that it isn't running the way it should.
