Meeting for this Thursday Aug. 5th

There is nothing planned for this Thursday, so I was thinking we could
have an open day. I think Dave mentioned something about cloud computing
( I couldn't find the email, sorry). I've also just started last Friday
on a simple music cataloging program I've been thinking about for years
now. And surprisingly I'm almost done with the important stuff (no GUI,
sorry). So I could show that off if anyone is interested.
Also we need to discuss about freedom software day. I've been busy since
Feburary getting ready for my baby this September. So all the prep work
I was planing got put on hold, but not forgotten. Unless plans change, I
don't think I can be counted on to attend this year. But, I can do all
that I can help everyone else prepare. I've got one of "The Box" ready,
and I could get another box ready (thanks to Dave for the donation). I
could probably loan out some equipment too (printer, scanner, etc)
I've also been wanting to see that movie that Robert has :) Any
additional suggestions?

I have just started playing around with Chrome OS which is a linux based
os which relies heavily on cloud apps. I would be glad to bring it along
and show what I have found out and let others have a hand at it. It is
an extremely fast boot into the Chrome browser.
I'm not an expert on the ins and outs but have spent a little time test
driving it.
