October Meeting

Hi,

The October meeting is sneaking up on us.

If we stick to our social meeting once every three months, then we are
due one this month. I also think that after all the work put in for the
install-fest, it is well deserved.

I am thinking about showing the movie "Dave Gorman's Googlewhack
Adventure" I know it has nothing to do with Linux or Open Source
Software, but it is funny and about Google. If you want I could draw a
highly tenuous link :-). Anyway I was thinking of bringing that and a
huge bucket of popcorn to share.

The movies is in the stand-up comedy/presentation format. There is a
couple of points where language is choice, and he does go off on an
anti-creationist digression for a few minutes. Although it only accounts
for about 10 minutes of the show, I just wanted to disclose that in
advance. If anyone does feel uncomfortable enough about that to make
them not want to show up then let me know on list or off list and we can
think of something else.

What are our thought?

Robert,

I really like that idea. In fact, let turn this into another mini
pot-luck again. I'll volunteer to bring some pizzas (1 peperoni, 1
supreme:thin crust), if someone wants to bring drinks and whatever.

Sounds like a lot of fun guys.  I'm afraid I won't be able to make this month's meeting, but I'll make sure someone is here to open the doors.  Are you still planning on meeting at Basin HDQ?
