Hello Folks

Some friends of mine at the Nottingham Hackspace have a kickstarter running for EVE which is a add-on for Raspberry Pi that acts as a home automation hub to connect with all your wireless gizmos. The kickstarter is to launch EVE Alpha which is a development board that is compatable with about 80% of wireless stuff like Xbee and RXF as well as a load of 2.4GHz stuff too. The idea is to get the dev board out there so they can fund and crowd source some awesome software! You can find out a lot more about it here on their page

Let me know what you think! I've ordered the £39 version and can't wait to hook it up at home.

Anyway speak soon.

Hello FizzPop

Just a quick update. I wanted to thank you guys for your support its gone really well and my friends have managed to two thirds fund their project with 9 days left. There are a few updates on the site since I last posted about the project. I've heard that the last push to reach target is often the heardest on these crowd funded projects. I appreciate the help you've already given but if you know of any geeky group who might find this Kickstarter of interest please do point them in its direction.

Thanks again for your support for this project.

Hello Folks

I'd like to thank you for your support with the EVE Alpha kickstarter. The project was funded and beat it's funding target by about 25% with your help. I'm delighted that CISECO and the lads are now up for an award at Postscapes for the Internet of Things 2012 Open Source Project category.

If you have time please do go and look at all the awesome IoT projects there, and if you feel so inclined please do vote for EVE Alpha!

Thanks again and a merry festive period to you all!
