BSF is coming up in a few weeks' time. Kate Sugden is running the It's
a Geek's World event on Sunday 19th
http://geeksworld.co.uk/

She's filling a room with several workshops, Sam Underwood's making
these http://vimeo.com/14322406, Oomlout, MUTR, Kre8 and others will
have stalls, I'm doing a circuit-bending workshop on behalf of fizzPOP
and Nottinghack are there too (assuming drawdio). I think GB's
involved somewhere too, though not sure if it's at the same event.

It's an opportunity to promote fizzPOP if anyone else would like to
get involved. Options include loaning interesting things for display,
sorting out T-shirts to sell, performance type stuff on the stage/
screen and/or generally being around and talking to people.

Anyone up for it?

I will be around to generally stand around talking to people. I could bring laptop and an Arduino to give some flashy LED love to the room.

Andrew.

Yes.
I have a bunch of Arduino's, and would happily sit around helping
people learn about them, using some breadboards, LEDs, (quiet)
speakers, and simple sensors.
I should also have a few very simple, smallish, robot vehicles to
attract people to find out what is going on.

Oops - hit send too early!

I might have the energy to do a proper "robot workshop", but I might
not be sure until too late for Kate to arrange some space.
At worst I could do some of my Arduino workshop projects continuously
through the day for a table of people, maybe half-dozen places, so
folks could sit down and experiment for as long as they like, and
wander if when they are satisfied. I can supply the Arduino's, but I'd
need some computers though.

Andrew, GB,

It might be best to speak directly to Kate since it sounds like you'd
both need table space and power supply as a minimum requirement.

I've seen a floor plan and it looks pretty full, but it may be that
the display area could be re-purposed as more of a space with people
in doing stuff.

Drop her an email - sooner rather than later would be best, I think.
