I've been trying the new google groups browser interface each time I
clear cookies and log into google.

I can't see the "+ new post" 'button' anywhere.

When I go to googles using groups forum help the "Topic" page link is
broken.

I think there are three main 'use cases'
- read a topic
- reply to a post
- post a new topic

Is it just me, or is it a bit broken?

At the top of the page, on the right of the red text that says
"Groups" and under the search bar, there's a red button marked "NEW
TOPIC", next to the other buttons ("Mark all as read", "Refresh",
...). This is in Chrome BTW (Windows 7 and Ubuntu Oneiric). Does it
not look that way on your browser?

No I get no buttons next to the word 'Groups'

Further, I tried to reply to your post in Firefox, I hit a key, it
lost my text, undo didn't work, then I couldn't type any text!

I will try Chrome, ad Safari.

I'm in Safari.

There are no words next to "Groups" at 'the top level".
When I enter this thread, I get several buttons including "POST REPLY"
I will keep going ...

Still Safari - When I go back to the top of the group, I now get a "New Topic" button, with a few others. Weird

(When I post, it leaves emails in, which it says get published in plain text. It warns me, but IMHO that is the wrong default if the email addresses are normally published with 'CAPTCHA' protection )

Still on Safari

It looks like 'frontal entry' is my problem!
If I come in via all "my groups", I get those buttons, but when I come to the group, then log-in, I don't.

So easily solved, but a bit crappy IMHO.

I still don't know what madness happened on Firefox when I tried to post.

Thanks for the help.
