Chowdown III

Per Big Daddy's request, this topic is for us to begin to plan our
next chowdown event.

Right now, looks like Silver Coin Indian Grill on Lorna Road in Hoover
is the place of choice.

I'm thinking this would be good for some time after the holidays. Do
we want to aim for something in January or do folks need more time to
recover financially from the holidays? Weekday night or weekend
evening?

Lets get planning folks!

January tends to be bad for me because we have so much going
(including my son's 7th birthday on Jan. 18). But I'm game if that's
when we want to do it.

We're hoping to go out of town on MLK weekend, so if we want to try
for Feb. that'd be cool with us as well. But we'll go with the
majority on this one.

Once the MLK holiday passes, shall we try again on putting together a
Silver Coin Chowdown -- perhaps sometime February after Valentine's?
If we do Silver Coin, my wife wants to join us.

Aside from Valentine's weekend, the month looks open for us. What
would be better for folks, weekend or midweek evening?

Unfortunately timing didn't work out for a lunch over at Silver Coin
over the holidays, so, if the group is in agreement, lets go there.

Anytime between 6 and 7 works for me. Does this work for you Hounds?
Haven't heard much response to this call. Hopefully my wife will be

I;m for 6:30, but 7 pm won't be a deal breaker either. Put us down for
two. Trying to talk a friend into joining us as well. I'll let you

I'll be calling Silver Coin with an approximate head-count, so I'll
need to know an estimate to give them.

trying to pin them down. So I'm thinking at this point 8-10.

Sorry you couldn't make it last night. We did have a dosa.. can't
remember much of what the other dishes were called. Big Daddy was
diligent with his notebook, however. Can't wait to find out, once
again. what those fantastic dishes were.
