Hi,

Shot this yesterday at Boshipota near Uttarpara. It look to me a bit like a Willow Warbler, but the distribution for it is not present in Grimmett-Inskipp. Then again, I thought it may look like a Greenish Warbler but that is marked as a winter visitor!

Experts please help.

Regards,
Avik

Hello!

Can this be Dusky Warbler (Phylloscopus fuscatus)?

Wow, This is very interesting. This one can be confused with Dusky, but it doesn't really look like one. I would guess Phylloscopus schwarzi (Radde's Warbler). Can we have more shots? And if I'm not mistaken Uttarpara is very near to Kolkata? Are there any past records? I would guess so, looking at the thick legs, longer tail and other features. But then I don't see any indicative undertail coverts. Would wait for others to opine as I might be wrong.

Hi,
I think this is worth further investigation. Do you mind if I post it
to others?

Hi,
Uttarpara is about 45min by road from the northern part of Kolkata.
Boshipota is near the Hindustan Motors factory.
