  <title type="text">[Birding-Aus] Ticking standards-was house crow at dee why</title>

  Gday birdos... I nearly crashed the ute a couple of months ago trying to pull up and get a look at what turned out to be an Indian ringneck. The bird was out the back of Manly brisbane and was in the wild. What&#39;s got me very excited is at the time i didn&#39;t realize it was a tick!!!!!! I usually put a little green sticker next to the birds in the guide to denote a tick but i cant seem to locate this bird in the guide. Can anyone help me with a page number? I have the latest Pizzey and knight. Thanks heaps guys and happy tick didily ticking.... John Hammond

  Peter &lt;br&gt; I was recently at a little reserve at Jacobs Well, on the coast between &lt;br&gt; Southport and Brisbane and saw Rainbow Bee-eaters. I thought it unusual &lt;br&gt; and thought they were either late heading north or early heading south. &lt;br&gt; Maybe global warming allows them to over winter further south than &lt;br&gt; usual. &lt;br&gt; Greg Little

  I&#39;ve noticed a large percentage of Keith Weekes&#39; occasional postings are &lt;br&gt; none too subtle digs at twitchers and the practices of twitching and &lt;br&gt; ticking. Some might call this trolling.
