True to Murphy's law the server goes down one hour before I am about
to embark on a 12 hour flight.

next qualified person that can fix it is on west coast - will take a
few hours for them to get to it

there was un upgrade to IPv6 on the server and I was not told about. A
fix has been put in place. Should work now.

Yesterday I could not access from the University of Zurich, but accessing from the University of Barcelona through a vpn worked fine. Seems that everything is in order now.
Cheers,

I notice that since the fix, although www.biostars.org works just
fine, biostars.org gives an error message.
Cheers

Hi,
nevermind my previous message: biostar is still not reachable from here in the university of Zurich. I tried both www.biostars.org and http://biostars.org , and they give an error message. It's been like this for more than one week now. It works if I connect from the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, through a vpn.

What error message do they give?

I suspect it has to be some sort of settings on those servers - in the
past two weeks there has been a global switch of all major internet
providers to IPv6 - for most users it went unnoticed but for some
applications - like Biostar - small changes were required.

best,

Istvan
