ITIS Database in Oracle script files?
|
| |
Hi Diane, I ran across your 2002 letter on the Internet and was curious if you ever found the script files for converting the ITIS database to Oracle? I am facing the same task. I have found directions for converting it to MySQL but was hoping that maybe the ORACLE conversion was available. Thank you for reading my letter and any advice you can give on this matter.... more »

Yeah, I guess it's the thing to do; maybe part of that whole soccer-mom culture. Unfortunately, the only thing they demonstrate is that the person... more »

Question about amino acid substitution matrices
|
| |
Hi, I'm a student of biology and one of my main focuses is bioinformatics. At the moment I'm preparing for my final exam. I read about that there are different bit units in different amino acid substitution matrices, e.g. the BLOSUM62 Matrix, which is scaled in 1/2 bit units or the PAM 250, in 1/3 bits (Bioinformatics, Mount, D.W.). I... more »
