We are seeking to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Department of Life Sciences at Imperial College London and the Department of Structural & Molecular Biology at University College London.
The purpose of the post is to develop novel fluorescent biosensors for live cell imaging using FRET and FLIM within an Optical Projection Tomography (OPT) instrument to be developed as a biomedical imaging platform for Cancer and Inflammation. We aim to live image signalling episodes in juvenile and adult transparent zebrafish as tumours progress within their microenvironment and immune cells interact with specific stimuli that drive inflammatory responses. This presents an unprecedented opportunity for a highly motivated and creative scientist to study signaling pathways regulating the motility, migration and invasion of cells as they relate to cancer and inflammation using the state-of-the-art fluorescent biosensor tools and novel in vivo imaging modalities. It is intended that this project will provide foundation for subsequent biology-driven research projects.
