Dear zebrafish researchers,

ᅵ

Ph.D. and postdoctoral positions are available in my lab at the Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology in Tᅵbingen, Germany.

ᅵ

We study classical developmental biology questions with quantitative methods in zebrafish embryos. We want to understand how extracellular signaling molecules pattern developing tissues. How are the appropriate distributions of signaling molecules achieved such that cells receive the right amount of signal at the right time? How do signaling systems concertedly coordinate proper patterning? How is the spatial range of signaling molecules regulated during development to establish the correct tissue proportions in differently sized embryos?

ᅵ

The lab is funded by the Human Frontier Science Program and the Emmy Noether Program of the German Research Foundation. For further information about our research and the institute please refer to http://www.eb.tuebingen.mpg.de/research/research-groups/patrick-mueller.html

ᅵ

Applicants with a strong background in zebrafish genetics, developmental biology, molecular biology, quantitative imaging, or systems biology are encouraged to apply. The positions are available immediately. Applications with cover letter, CV, and contact information of former supervisors should be sent as a single PDF to pmue...@tuebingen.mpg.de

ᅵ

It would be great if you could pass on this information to people who might be interested in applying.

ᅵ

Best regards,

Patrick Mᅵller
