For chemiluminescence, you may want to check out Syngene's GeneGnome. It
uses a fixed focus camera positioned very close to the sample tray for
maximum sensitivity. The maximum blot size is 15 x 15 cm. The software
could use improvement, but the images are very nice. I'm not aware of the
ability to hook up a microscope, though. We purchased the GeneGnome plus
darkroom kit (equivalent to the GeneGenius) for gel imaging. This includes
two cameras, so we can photograph gels and image blots simultaneously. In
the U.S., support has been very good. We don't have a local rep, but the
telephone support has been good.
