The Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK Gatersleben)
has a vacancy for a PhD position.
The position in the Plant Stress and Development group is funded by the
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German National Research Foundation)
project =D1Functional and genetic network of gene families involved in
nicotianamine metabolism and transport in Arabidopsis thaliana=EC.
Nicotianamine is essential for iron nutrition in plants.
This project is part of the =D1Arabidopsis Functional Genomics Network=EC
(AFGN) initiated by the DFG

Applicants should have experience in molecular biology, biochemistry,
genetics or cell biology techniques.
The position is open for two years initially, starting November, 1, 2002.
