Is it possible to compare expression values across different studies

Hi

Are the expression values normalized and Can one then compare the expression values across different studies and tissues.

Hi Anton,

 

Our expression data are processed using the gcrma algorithm.  Since gcrma is context dependent (values change slightly depending on the grouping of samples being processed), we wouldn't recommend comparing values across data sets.  Of course, the even bigger issue is the batch effect of sample preparation, hybridization, etc.
