------------------------------------------------------------------------

I. Volunteers needed.  We need some more volunteers for bike week.  We need help handing out flyers this week and posting posters.  We'll also need help with the raffle/party on Monday night and signing people in during Wednesday night's ride of silence next week.  Contact me or ron (rons...@yahoo.com) if you'd like to help.

II. Public Information Open House for the Bugline Trail Improvement Project
5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Pauline Haass Public Library, at N64 W23820 Main Street in the Village of Sussex.
Ask questions or show your support for the Bugline trail improvement project at the public meeting.  If you are unable to attend, you can e-mail Steve Brunner, Waukesha County Senior Landscape Architect, at sbru...@waukeshacounty.gov.  The WBA's mission is "more people riding more places" in the County.  We have observed that the number of people using the County's trails increases substantially after they have been paved, and we are always happy when more people get on their bikes.

After you go to the public meeting, you can come back to Waukesha....

III.  Waukesha Bicycle Alliance monthly meeting Thursday, May 10: 7:00 p.m
Most of this meeting will be about planning for Bike week, handing out posters and flyers, addressing obstacles to artistic racks, and getting updates on old business.  Please come to this meeting if you would like to help out during the bike week activities.

IV.  Print out and post the attached posters for Next week--Bike week!
Feel free to print out the attached flyer or posters and post at your workplace. Or, come to Thursday night's meeting to pick up some flyers to distribute.

More information will be coming up about each of the activities on each day of bike week, and you can also check out our blog for more updates in the coming days.

V.  National Bike Challenge update
Thanks to everyone who has joined up on the WBA's team for the national bike challenge.  We've now reached our 10-person capacity. You don't need to be a member of a team to participate in the challenge and you can still sign up for the challenge.  I know that it is keeping me motivated to ride more!

IV. Reminder about our Tuesday Family rides:  tomorrow we leave from Glacial Drumlin Trailhead (Schuetze Building) at 6:00 p.m.
