Dear all,

A new reference:

"Balancing the stations of a self service bike hire system", Mike
Benchimol, Pascal Benchimol, Benoît Chappert, Arnaud de la Taille,
Julien Laroche, Frédéric Meunier and Ludovic Robinet, RAIRO Operations
Research, accepted for publication.

It is a paper that I have written with graduate students. It is the
result of projects they did under my supervision.

Even if the title is quite general, the content is theoretical and
focused on what we call the static case: the bikes do not move, there
is a truck that loads and unloads bikes on stations, and we just want
to find the best route for the truck to reach a prescribed repartition
of the bikes. The results are approximation algorithms, special cases
that are polynomial...

When I wrote this paper, I was not aware of all the references you
gave in the recent messages. The paper is already in the hands of the
editor, I will check whether I can add new references.

Regards,

Frédéric

Thanks Frédéric! Is a version of the paper available online?
