Please read the following e-mail from the Alliance for Biking and Walking.

Specialized.is giving used shop equipment to 501c3 organizations. Take a look at the inventory list.

I would guess that NCATA does not have any requirement for the technical equipment , but perhaps there would be a use for some of the generic stuff.

Please let me know by Saturday if:

1. There is a requirement
2. Are you willing to accept delivery? (Shipping is free) and store it.

Dear Al,   As I was talking with the advocacy contact at Specialized last month, he asked if we might know anyone who could use some shop equipment. Specialized is remodeling their concept stores and are looking for new homes for the old equipment (as far as we know, this is unused equipment / excess inventory that no longer has a use). How appropriate to recycle this gear with those who help recycle bikes!     We wanted to check with you to see if you would have any use for any of these bike racks, shop benches, shelf hardware, storage racks, or even bike tube dispensers.   Attached is the full catalog of Specialized branded shop gear as well as an inventory showing how many of each type of equipment model there is. Simon has highlighted the higher priority items he is looking to move.   So here's the deal. As long as your organization is a 501(c)(3) then you can get any of these FREE and Specialized with ship it to you for FREE.   Please complete the attached order form and email it to me by noon EST on Monday, December 12, and we’ll forward them along.
