One of my colleagues at Wells Fargo had their bike stolen from the
AT&T building uptown on November 9th during the daytime. The bike was
secured with a cable lock.

Bike Brand: Novara Bonanza 2007 15 Inch from REI
Bike serial # U6XY00704
Here's a link to a pic of the bike:

If you have any information or spot this bike, please contact Jim
Ogden at 704-641-1192 .

Is the bike in the photo the same color?

Yes.  It’s this exact bike in this color (Green and Black).  It’s got
egg beater pedals on it, and I had a polar watch mount on the right
handlebar.

I can't believe this. I went to Lola's and even went to admire the bikes
but I didn't see anyone lurking around. I'll keep my eyes open for it. I
hate to keep seeing stolen bike alerts.

Be sure to let all the bike and pawn shops know about it.

Good Luck.

And make you sure you have recent pictures of your bike just in case this
happens to you.

There is a form you can fill out and put in the seat post with your info so
you can prove it is your bike in case it does turn up. I got one from CMPD
but it's basically just name, address, ph#, NCDL#, bike make model and ser#.

Here's the link to a global bike database and it's free. Has anyone done
this? Do you think it would be helpful?

Just got a u-lock today. Hope there are bike racks to lock to. Guess I'll
still carry my cables just in case.
