I'm starting to put components on my new frame (Woo Hoo!!) and need to
get a new derailleur. The ones I've got are braze on derailleurs, or
they're not big enough (31.8mm seat tube).

The rear cassette I'm using has 9 cogs. Will this derailleur work:

It's a Shimano Ultegra 10 speed FD-6600 Front Derailleur with a 31.8
Clamp. Everything seems to check out, but I just need to know before
I order. It would work out to about $40, and that's the lowest I've
seen by far.

Just checking. Any help you can give would be appreciated!!

It should. Check http://sheldonbrown.com/ for technical info.
