A Message from the New Prez

Hi Everyone,

The club drafted me as the new president this evening. Jerry is ride
director and Sandi is secretary/treasurer. We also decided a few
other items of business this evening.

1. The club will join USA Cycling. The annual cost of membership is
$150. In addition, we decided to purchase liability insurance from
USAC. The cost is $125 for $1 million coverage.

2. The club expanded the board of directors to include one sponsor
representative. Sponsors will get their name on the club jersey for a
two year commitment of $150/year. Currently, we have one firm
commitment, one tentative commitment, and one very good prospect. We
are looking for a total of four sponsors. If you know of anyone who
is interested, please have them get in touch with me.

3. We decided to go with semi-custom jerseys. The cost of the
jerseys will depend on the number that we order. If we place an order
of 16 or more jerseys, the price for a short sleeve jersey will be $60
and the price for a long sleeve will be $75. (I plan to buy three
jerseys.) You can find prices, jersey designs, and other details at

Basically, we go with one of the stock jerseys and then decide what
gets printed on the jersey. Let me know your opinions. I will try to
have some sizing samples in January. The goal is to place our order
no later than February 1, so we have jerseys by the beginning of March
(or sooner).

Félicitations pour votre élection à la président du Club de vélo Nacogcoches. Je sais que vous allez nous rendre fiers, et je suis impatient de voir ce que vous apportez à la table. J'ai encore beaucoup à apprendre, et je suis impatient d'en apprendre davantage auprès de vous.

 

Soit dit en passant, un de mes philosophes préférés est Jean-Paul Sartre. J'ai réussi à convaincre quelques-uns de mes professeurs de me permettre de traduire quelques-unes de ses œuvres pour le crédit universitaire. Charges d'informations intéressantes.

 

Je suis impatient de courir après votre pneu arrière, et l'espoir de vous laisser beging grâce dans un avenir très proche.

And we also voted to donate $100.00 the Nacogdoches Treatment Center for the 2010 Loblolly Liberator Ride. 

 

We will also renew our website and google account, not sure yet how much that will be out of the club account.

 

Joel handed out some "fun awards ". Can not remember what all they were for but Jerry, Mary, Tom, Dennis, Curt,  Doug, Richard,Billy, Steve, Zac,  and Joel all received one .

 

We missed all of you that could not make it.  Don't forget that tomorrow night, Thursday at 5:30, we will meet downtown for the "Run to the Lights".

One other thing happened - Dennis and I had a heated discussion on whether or not we should start a listserve dedicated to 20-year-old bikes that aren't made anymore. We almost broke into fisticufffs, but then we decided didn't want to be called a couple of Peugeot-lists.
