Is there any news available about the South Shore accepting bicycles
(or at least changing their policy) on trains to and from Chicago?

The reason I ask is related to the 2015 plans for Chicago to become
the nations most bike friendly city. Now, while this is a lofty goal
for a city that gets mired down in winter weather, much like us here
in Michiana, they are making significant steps towards the goals they
have set out to achieve. Bike rentals are available, clear signage
and stripes are popping up for bike lanes, and motorists (personal,
cab and bus) are a bit more acceptable to the movement.

For someone like me who enjoys urban cycling, this would make a great
addition to the South Shore line. Not to mention the idea being
slightly advantageous to business. CTA and Metra trains accept bikes,
so it doesn't seem the South Shore would be any different.

Any news, thoughts or comments?
