Fixed gear?

Building up a fixie. I was riding my old miyata steel frame less and
less and decided to give it a whirl.

Its fun, interesting and a little terrifying sometimes:)

Currently my bike is torn down entirely, stripping, repainting and
budget allowing replacing a few parts.(bars/btm bracket/pedals/etc)

I was just curious if anyone else around town has played with
singlespeed/fixed gear townie bikes at anypoint? Or had been thinking
about it? Ive already had some interesting experiences and was hoping
someone might have some to share.

Its also been a good motivator to learn a little bit more about the
mechanics of my bikes and ive gained a better understanding of gear
ratios and even some of the math behind it.

While im on the subject too....if anyone has any old mtb handle bars
lemme know im thinking to try em on this bike and might take em off
your hands for a fair price;)
