Chat window long on Mac, all browsers

Hello Fred,

Just had .8-beta-2 installed on our dev server, it looks fabulous
except for the chat window... on multiple Macs running 10.6 and
testing BBB with FF, Chrome and Safari, the chat window is longer than
the screen so that a user has to scroll way down to get to the input
window. Then scroll way up to read the posts of other participants.
I searched the forums and couldn't find mention of this, have you
heard of this? Looks great on PCs, seems to be limited to the Mac....

and reproduce it here. No promises on a date for fixing it, but it's
definitely one of those usability items that we'd like to fix for 0.8.

I just noticed that this happens to me with BBB-Moodle (on all
browsers on my Macbook) but on BBB-eFront (tested on FF and Chrome)
the chat window looks fine...

Hello Fred,

I have an idea for a workaround for this issue... as we are going to
put .08-beta-3 in production next week and I know some users will have
a bit of a struggle with the long chat window....
What if I preload a few pages of content into the chat window so that
the scroll bar scrolls way down to where a user can see the chat
window contents plus the input box right off the bat?
I think this will work, if you know which file holds the default chat
window content would you be so kind as to let me know? If I could
pass on specifics to my in-house backend guy he'd be more amenable to
doing it :)

Hi Devarha,

We're still seeing this issue in the upcoming 0.8-beta-4.  Again, seems like it only happens on Mac.  Not sure of a fix yet, but keep an eye on

Sorry. I don't fully understand what you mean.

Does the problem still occurs on your mac?

Can you please attach a screen shot? And tell us you OS version,
browser version?

Yes, Richard, the problem still continues on my mac.
My ios version is Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and this issue happens in Chrome
17.0.963.83, FF 10.0.2 and Safari 5.1.4, with Flash 11.1.102.63, but
its an issue very strange because only it happens in home not in
office work, i think due to an something relate to the setup lan, but
i dont know, for example my laptop works fine in office work but not
in home.
