BBB rooms traffic control

First of all I will like to congratulate bbb developers for the great work.

I hope I'm not repeating any topic. So far I've searched FAQ and bbb-users and bbb-dev groups and I didn't found a specific answer to my question.

I would like to monitor the amount of netwoork traffic (up/down) on different rooms that are running on the same BBB server. 

Can anyone please help me and explain how I can achive this?

Hi Rafael,

A simple approach is to run a bandwidth monitor, such as bmon, on your BigBlueButton server.   This will show you the overall bandwidth of the server.

When there is no activity on the BigBlueButton server, the bandwidth is almost zero.  If you try out some various scenarios, such as join a session and start 3 webcams, you'll get a sense of the bandwidth used.

First of all thank you very much for your quick reply.

I think I didn't explain myself in the previous email. bmon is a really good suggestion but I think it isn't enough for my needs.

I need to monitor the traffic flow in each virtual room and not the network traffic in entire server.

Is that possible?

There is (currently) no tool that provides this capability.
