Hi,
Is there a way to use the same room over and over again similar to the
rooms created using demo3.jsp but making it so the room is only active
when the moderator is logged in? I have tried searching for this but
can't seem to find a way to do it. We want to use these for classes
and on line office hours but don't want the students using them when
the instructor is not present.
Thanks

Hi Ryan,

This is certainly possible -- as these are API demos and can be modified.  If by chance, you are using Moodle 2.0+, the BigBlueButtonBN Moodle integration at

will let you setup rooms and require students to wait until a teacher joins.

We're also very familiar with the Sakai integration as well.  Can you share what LMS you are using?

Thanks for the reply. We will be implementing D2L as our LMS soon but
we won't be doing any BBB integration at this time.We are still
testing BBB and it's features. I am willing to put some work into
configuration at this point to ensure it will do what we need but was
hoping to be able to implement most features without having to trying
integrating it into another product. Where is the documentation for
that part of the API? Can it be done with Javascript, PHP or another
language without re-creating the rest of the functionality the demos
provide?
Thanks,
Ryan

Hi Ryan,

You'll find the full API documentation here

and the full source for our API demos (.jsp pages) here

For PHP integrations, here's an API library to help you get going

You might also check out the other BigBlueButton integrations at

if you want to quickly setup a Wordpress front-end, for example.
