Hi all,

I have read that the minimum requirements for BBB is 2 GB RAM and 2 GHz processor, but our organization can not afford that so we are dealing now with a sponsor which will provide us with 512 RAM and 0.2 GHz. Could we setup BBB under this low conditions, provided that we will not use it as video conferencing but pretty like webinars.

Thanks for your support,
Andrew.

Hi, I've testing BBB with VPS 4GB RAM and six cores.

The management of voice is very poor.

Definitely the recommendation already made in this forum to use a dedicated server is best.

Regards,

Solon

Hi Andrew,

Unfortunately not.   You would find that 2G is the minimum to run BigBlueButton, and you want at least a 2.0 GHZ dual core processor (quad core is better).

Dear Andrew,
We have our own dedicated server on OVH France. I've used this server to make some virtualization with KVM based and run Moodle and BBB. BBB running well on KVM, not like on Xen or OpenVZ.

You can contact me personally at re...@rumahilmu.or.id, maybe I can help you to set a KVM for your need with affordable price, especially if you come from educational institution.
