The code of synchronization between audio and video

Dear, BBB developer
I am student from BJUT(Beijing University of Technology). I am very interested in BBB, and I make some modification on the BBB-client. And I want to research more further about BBB, like the aspect of synchronization between audio and video, I don't know how to start and what should I do?
Please give me some advice.

the audio is mixed in freeswitch mod_conference and only 1 stream to
sent back to each client.
With video, each camera "on" sends a separate video stream, to each
client viewing. so 20 cams on the server red5 sends every client 19
streams separately. So syncing the two is difficult.
Some vid conf apps, use flash to send audio/video in one stream but
not BBB.
