Hi all,

I am using the bifferboard since a couple of days (used:
http://www.mikrocontroller.net/articles/Bifferboard to get
started)....

I am looking for a java version able to run on the bifferboard. What I
would like most, ist just a simple package to be downloaded and
installed.

But I have not found anything like this... Can someone help me?

Best regards
Andreas

I think you're looking for jamvm, or sablevm
http://downloads.openwrt.org/backfire/10.03/rdc/packages/

But I know next to nothing about Java I'm afraid.

You need to use them with the OpenWrt version I compiled here:
http://sites.google.com/site/bifferboard/Home/factory-firmware

The mikrocontroller.net instructions are rather out of date. If
running OpenWrt you can run without USB stick now, and I suspect jvm
will fit fine.

regards,
Biff.

from: http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/HowTo/UseJavaOnTheSlug

the arm nslu 2 can run the following VMs:

jamvm
sun cvm (phoneme)
kaffe

this might be compilable for the bifferboard.

I don't think sun hotspot will run :-)
