This will be my go anywhere, anytime bike, equipped with Rohloff rear,
Schmidt dyno front, 200 mm DaVinci cranks. I'm just a smidgen under 6'
(and shinking ;-) but I have a 95cm PBH--yes, I am all legs and arms.
Renold is also building a custom front and rear rack and he has a very
snazzy handlebar bag of his design to work with his front rack. I chose
700c wheels with room for 40mm tires with fenders. At Renold's suggestion,
I'm also going with an Ahearne MAP handlebar, which will work nicely with
the Rohloff stock shifter, and really, I almost *never* use the drops on my
Nitto Noodle drop bars now.
As you'll probably recognize, Renold is a member of the group but please,
do not pester the framebuilder with questions--I want him torch-in-hand!
And fear not, there will be plenty of photos of the finished bike :-) I
hope to have it by Thanksgiving, depending on the paint shop.
