We’re now two and a half days into the competition. I hesitate to make too much of rankings at this stage, because teams are still being started and unpredictable logging delays are going to cause the rankings to get shuffled around quite a bit, especially early on.
But, that said, we’re showing pretty respectably. We’ve been consistently in the top 20 and frequently in the top ten. At the moment we’re showing 19th.
We’re still one member short of a full ten, and only six of us have logged.
Total number of teams stands at 1,682. Number of teams with at least some points is 1,132.
One rival I’m watching is Charlotte Spokes People, who include a number of the local paint and path advocates. They’re currently shown 7th. Interestingly, they’re out-pointing us, with fewer miles: 322 to our 396. This illustrates the importance under the point system of logging lots of days. They have ten members, nine of whom have logged.
We now have a team photo, submitted by Greg Kline. I am attaching it.
We’ve still got one slot open. We ain’t picky – we’s RABL, y’know.
