Relating Resources to Zotero Collections

Hi all,

Just curious, and sorry if I missed it if this question already came
up. I'm curious about a predicate to relate a resource to a Zotero
Collection. It looks like Zotero's API is coming together, and it seems
like the mappings are together enough to make really good progress on
gathering data.

And so I'm wondering about the situation where I have (well, hope to
make!) a URI for a university course, and relate it to a Zotero
Collection, for example for the reading list for the course.

That's most likely outside the scope of bibo, but I think it could be
useful to start thinking about someplace, if it isn't already there.
(I'll also contact the Zotero folks about this).

I'm imagining something analogous to foaf:page. Just as

myuni:History101 foaf:page <http://exampleuni.edu/English101Page>

so too

myuni:History101 something:hasZoteroBib
<http://zotero.org/exampleCollection>

The tools to take a Zotero Collection and get it into bibo will be
fantastic. But I'm also keenly interested in relating that info back to
the real courses and teachers and students involved.

So, anyone know if there are already efforts at work to think through
the relationships between courses and Zotero Collections for those courses?

Hi Patrick,

You may want to consider reviewing the Resource List Ontology [1] and Academic Institution Internal Structure Ontology (AIISO) [2] - in combination with bibliographic ontology, these make up most of the data model we use in Talis Aspire [3], our commercially available resource list management system.
