Strong Earthquake felt in Bulgaria

A mild magnitude four earthquake on the Richter scale was felt in the Bulgarian towns of Kroumovgrad and Kurdzhali on the morning of August 23 2010, Bulgarian media reported.

The tremor's epicenter was said to be at the border between Greece and Turkey in the Aegean Sea, about 330 km south-east of Sofia.

According to the Bulgarian national radio, the earthquake was felt at 7.22am Bulgarian time.

For the moment, there are no reports of damage or injuries.
