Earthquake shakes Philippines

MANILA, Philippines (PNA) — An earthquake of magnitude 4.2 on the
Richter scale hit Tarlac province in Central Luzon at 6:40 a.m. Friday,
the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs)
reported.
Phivolcs said the earthquake of tectonic origin had a depth of 23
kilometers and its epicenter was traced at 19 kms. northeast of Tarlac
City.
It was recorded at Intensity 3 in Quezon City, Manila and Clark
Freeport Zone in Pampanga, and Intensity 2 in Makati City.
Phivolcs expects no damages and aftershocks.
