Man cuts own throat in UK Woolworths*

A BRITISH man died after slashing his own throat in front of horrified
customers at a Woolworth store in Cornwall overnight.

Police said the man in his 20s walked into the shop in Penzance and
began pacing the aisles, waving a Stanley knife, before using it to cut
his throat and his arm.

Staff quickly cleared customers from the shop and alerted police and
ambulance.

By the time an ambulance crew arrived, the man had died.

"It was horrific for everyone watching," a police spokesman said,
according to the British Press Association.

The man had not been identified.
