Two dead as tornadoes hit Texas and heavy rain falls

TWO people are dead and a woman is still missing following intense rain and flooding across Texas, myFOXdfw.com reported.
Heavy rains from the remnants of Tropical Storm Hermine have pummeled the region, forcing the evacuation of school children and residents.
The body of Johnson County man James Calvin Wright, 49, was found after a swollen creek swept his vehicle away on County Road 607 north of Alvarado, myFOXdfw reported.
Police said Mr Wright had been talking to rescuers by phone when his car was overpowered by the rushing water.
Killeen authorities also recovered the body of teenager Rashima Shaquel Copeland, 19, whose silver Mitsubishi Eclipse became submerged by water on Reeses Creek Road.
Meanwhile, Austin firefighters told myFOXaustin.com they are still searching for the female driver of a black SUV, after her vehicle was located a 0.8km down Bull Creek.
The creek flows into Lake Austin and authorities have said they will resume the search for the woman early Thursday.
Hermine, which was downgraded from a Tropical Storm to a Tropical Depression late Tuesday, made landfall late Monday, packing winds of 105kp/h and spreading rain across northern Mexico and Texas.
