Police find headless body in Thames*

POLICE in the UK have launched a murder inquiry after finding the
headless body of a woman in the River Thames.

The clothed body, which was also missing its hands, was discovered in a
bag at the South Dock Marina in Rotherhithe, southeast London, yesterday
morning local time.

Police said they believed the bag had been in the water for at least a
day before being reported by passers-by.

The woman was white but her age is not yet known.

Scotland Yard said they had arrested a local man who was interviewed at
a south London police station before being bailed until a date in May.
