US stocks drop again on economic worries

US stocks ended sharply lower again overnight, extending their weekly losses, as worries over the global economy and European banks continued to roil markets.
The bellwether Dow Jones Industrial Average closed Friday trading down 173 points, or 1.6 percent, at 10,818.
The Nasdaq Composite fell 39 points, or 1.6 percent, at 2,341, while the S&P 500 index closed down 17 points, or 1.5 percent, at 1,123.
