A 4.2 earthquake struck Wellington at 10.16am on Thursday, shaking
buildings in the New Zealand city, including the country's
parliament.
It was located 10km west of Porirua at a depth of 30km.
The Fire Service said it had received no reports of damage.
It followed a 5.7-magnitude quake which struck east of Picton on
Saturday, which was widely felt around Wellington and broke
louvres on the waterfront Meridian building.
