DAVAO CITY – A 5.2 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Mati,
Davao Oriental province on Thursday night, but there was no report of
injury or damage to property, an official of the Philippine Institute of
Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said Friday.
The quake’s epicenter was traced at 67 kilometers South East of Mati,
with a depth of 34 kilometers, said Eleazar Jorjio.
The quake occurred at 11:07 p.m. An intensity 3 tremor was felt in the
cities of Davaom, Digos and Koronadal in South Cotabato Intensity 2 in
the town of Matanao, Davao del Sur, Matalam, North Cotabato and
Kidapawan City.
