(CNN) -- Tropical Storm Colin lost some strength overnight, with its
maximum sustained winds reaching only 45 mph throughout the morning,
the National Hurricane Center said in its 2 p.m. Friday update.
Hurricane center aircraft were poised to fly to the storm to gather
data Friday afternoon.
Forecasters said the storm is likely to regain some strength later in
the day and Saturday.
By early Friday afternoon, Colin had veered to the north and was
traveling at 7 mph, the hurricane center said. Forecasters predicted
the storm's center would pass "near or over" Bermuda on Saturday or
Saturday night.
A tropical storm warning is in effect for the British island territory
335 miles north-northeast of the storm, meaning tropical-storm-force
winds of 39 to 73 mph are expected in the next 36 hours.
The storm is not forecast to make landfall in the United States.
